Helen Keller: Liar or Actress?

Article by Pepper Forsythe

Deaf, Dumb, and Blind? Or the world's greatest actress? Helen Keller is often deemed as a woman who overcame insurmountable odds with sheer force of will and coaching. She taught us that there's no limitations on what humans can achieve.

But is this truly the case?

Recent, trending research, suggests that Helen Keller never existed and was a fictional character. To that, I can only somewhat agree.

Helen Keller was a stage name for failed actress, Ann Roberts, in early 1914 who was approached by a young, prodigious Walt Disney (on behalf of the US military) to be, on the outside, a role model for misbehaving children (parents in the 1900's were fond of the saying "If you think you have it hard, just look at Helen Keller!) but in reality, to be an agent for the US military against Axis forces during World War 1. Walt had a gift for movie magic, even at such a young age, and was able to easily disguise Keller's visage to whatever suited the military's whims and was also able to create convincing backstories for characters, something that Ann Roberts would need in the public's eye.

And what of Ann Sullivan? Keller's lifelong companion and teacher? She was nothing more than Roberts' handler, making sure that she maintained the ruse of a deaf, dumb, and blind beacon of hope for humanity's potential while she was not out conducting espionage in foreign nations. Ann Roberts, already having been a trained actress, had no problem playing the part and media coverage made it easy to play the farce off.

"Helen Keller" excelled at military training the government's special operates force codenamed "Melon Ballers" and the training paid off as Keller was essential in the downfall of Axis power during WW1, responsible for many successful invasions into Germany, Hungary, and Turkey. Ann Roberts didn't make it as an actress solely for her natural ability of being invisible. She was naturally undetectable due to her mundane appearance and affable manner. She was a wallflower, which is exactly what made her perfect for her position.

Here's the kicker: Helen Keller is still alive and well. Although her death was reported in 1968, there have been numerous sightings of her since her death. She still remains elusive to this day as a master of disguise, still active in the US military as one of their greatest assets to date. Arcane readings have shown that Helen Keller has been revived from death a countless number of times. After all, how could the military just let one of their greatest spies eat the dirt?

Keep your eyes clear, there's no telling where she is and what her goals are currently. This is not the last we'll see of her.
